In June, Moldova to submit new set of updates on reforms in EU accession process

Chisinau, May 10. /MOLDPRES/- In June, the Republic of Moldova will submit a new set of updates on the reforms implemented in joining the European Union. Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration made the statement today.
The official noted that our country has made more progress in important areas such as the justice sector, deoligarization and strengthening democracy.
"We are in touch with the European Commission every day, where we inform and work together to bring our country into the EU. In June we will submit a new set of updates on the reform process. Ten days ago I sent information on the implementation of the nine recommendations of the European Commission, where we found more progress in important areas, such as the justice sector, de-oligarization, strengthening democracy. A few days ago, according to an international rating, the Republic of Moldova climbed to 28th place in the world in terms of press freedom. The return of the airport to the management of the state, the conviction of Shor - these are proofs that the Republic of Moldova is able to accelerate the European path by reforming justice and consolidating democracy", said Popescu.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean thanked all the officials of the ministries and the public administration who mobilized and got involved in the important exercises.
