RUNOFF OF ELECTIONS IN GAGAUZ-YERI AUTONOMY: Evghenia Guţul is autonomy's new bashkan

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - The new governor (bashkan) of the Gagauz autonomy will be the candidate of the Shor Party, Evghenia Guţul, following the preliminary results, official sources of the Gagauz-Yeri Autonomous Territorial Unit have reported.

Thus, Evghenia Guţul won in the elections, by picking up 52 per cent of the suffrages or 27,805 votes.

Her rival in the elections, representative of the Party of Socialists, got 48 per cent of the suffrages or 25,726 votes.
