Chisinau, May 21. /MOLDPRES/- We have a duty to work so that all children in the country are happy. And those who are born today, should go to first grade as European citizens, those who enroll in medicine should become European doctors in seven years. President Maia Sandu made the statement today at the European Moldova National Assembly.

The president gave a motivational speech for European integration for over half an hour, saying that this assembly will clearly tell everyone that Moldovans want to become part of the European Union. She also spoke Russian, Ukrainian, Gagauz and Bulgarian.

"Until 2030, the farmers who planted a walnut orchard will reap the first rich fruit in a European country and the great European market will be even more open for Moldovan production. We want the entrepreneurs who open companies today to become European businesses and to open more jobs here at home. European Moldova means that we have to build truly European state institutions, which only serve the citizen, protect him and work in the national interest, whoever is in government. Teachers, doctors, policemen, all public sector employees will become European officials respected by citizens and rewarded. Those gathered here in PMAN also come from our localities. From our community that we care about, no one knows better than us that a European future means well-developed, developed villages and cities. We launched the European Village program. In the coming years, we must reach from village to village and bring Europe to all our localities," said Sandu.

The head of state said that integration into the European Union is not only a commitment, but the desire of the people, which is supported by the European partners. "Europe is not a political slogan, it is our people's chance to live in peace, tranquility and plenty. It seems a long way, which requires the work of the whole society and will ensure the future of our children. No one can stand in the way of our development, only the people are masters in our house. Moldova must be a member of the EU in the next seven years. Moldovans must be European not only in values, but also in deeds", Sandu said.
