Place of Moldova - in European Union, MEP says

Chisinau, May 21. /MOLDPRES/- MEP Siegfried Mureșan participated in European Moldova National Assembly today, where the citizens of the Republic of Moldova came to support the European path of the country. The official wrote on his page that the place of the Republic of Moldova is in the European Union.

President of the Delegation of the European Parliament to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee wrote that he came directly from Washington to Chisinau for the European Moldova Assembly, because it is a very important moment. "It is an opportunity to show the whole of Europe that the people of the Republic of Moldova want European integration. I am sure that we will give a positive message that will be seen and received throughout the European Union, which will increase the EU's attention to the Republic of Moldova", said Mureșan.

He stated that all citizens of the Republic of Moldova will benefit from the European integration process. "Hospitals, schools, roads will be modernized. The judiciary will be independent, it will be strong. And the people of the Republic of Moldova must know that regardless of whether they speak Romanian, Ukrainian or Russian at home, the European path is good for them and the European Union wants to help everyone", he said.

Today, at the European Moldova Assembly in Chisinau, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola gave a speech, saying Europe is Moldova, and Moldova is Europe.

Events supporting the European integration of the Republic of Moldova take place in 33 other cities outside the country.
