Moldovan head of state meets President of European Parliament

Chisinau, May 21. /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met today with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. On this occasion, the head of state thanked the official for the support given to the Republic of Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.

"Ms. Metsola, nice to meet you in European Moldova! I was happy to greet the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in Chisinau, and to participate, together with our citizens, in the European Moldova Assembly. On behalf of all citizens, I thanked President Metsola for the support that the European legislature has given to the Republic of Moldova over time.

The head of state also said "the Parliament of the European Union has always been on the side of our citizens, and today we received assurances that Moldova is expected in the great European family and we will benefit from all the support. European Moldova means a free and prosperous country for all the people of Moldova, for our parents and our children".
