Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - The people who have infringed the electoral legislation will be called to account. Prime Minister Dorin Recean today made statements to this effect, after the Comrat Court of Appeal on 22 May had validated the results of the elections of the governor (bashkan) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) Gagauz-Yeri and approved the mandate of the elected bashkan, Evghenia Gutul.
„The government will cooperate with the local authorities who represent the citizens’ interests. We will work, in order to provide qualitative services to citizens. We will surely do not tolerate anyone who comes up with another agenda than the one of the citizens. The people who infringed the electoral legislation, who committed abuse, corrupted the voters or participated in the process of corrupting electors, will be called to account. Those who trespassed the law will have to bear responsibility,’’ the PM said.
The Comrat Court of Appeal on 22 May validated the results of the elections of the governor of UTA Gagauz-Yeri and approved the mandate of the elected bashkan Evghenia Gutul. The Comrat court’s ruling can be appealed at the Supreme Court of Justice during three days.
