Horizon Europe National Office inaugurated in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ - A Horizon Europe National Office  will work in Moldova. The centre will facilitate the cooperation between the scientific and academic environments from Moldova and the European Union countries.  

According to the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), the office will organize events of informing and raising awareness as to the opportunities of cooperation in the research and innovation sector, will provide support in identifying the fit calls and of partners for project proposals.  

During the inaugural speech, Education and Research Minister Anatolie Topala stressed that the structure would create opportunities for research and education. „For the Moldovan system of science and innovation, the integration in the European Research Area and the aligning with its principles represents a strategic goal. We cooperate, in order to fully benefit from the status of state associated with Horizon Europe and to take over the priorities of the Agenda of Policies of the European Research Area in our national practices and documents,’’ Anatolie Topala said.     

Moldova is country associated of the Horizon Europe Programme and the opening of the Horizon Europe National Office is part of the actions of integration into the European Union.
