Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - The holders of entrepreneur’s licence have at their disposal about one month to switch to a new activity regime. Starting from 1 July 2023, the activity of retail trade at counters, stands, stalls, pavilions and from vehicles, as well as the commerce with native food products and perishable goods will no longer be allowed based on licence.
To continue their commercial activity, tax payers can switch to a simplified fiscal regime - independent activity or register in another organizational and legal form.
The entrepreneurs who choose the independent work will have more benefits. Among them, there are the increase in the ceiling of sales up to 1.2 million lei (60,000 euros), unlimited period of activity and the lowest quota of the income tax in Europe, at the level of 1 per cent of the income from sales. Also, the independent activity is not limited to a certain type of trade units.
According to the State Fiscal Service (SFS), the quarterly payment of the income tax will be made based on the payment notice issued by SFS, depending on the sales registered (at post office, banks’ branches, through payment terminals or online through the portals www.sfs.md or www.mpay.gov.md).
The tax payer must only preserve the fiscal invoices on the purchasing of goods and if the goods are bought from private people, they should be recorded in the register of recording procurements, which will be submitted to SFS at the end of relevant accounting period.
