MPs back Resolution of European Moldova Assembly

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted the Resolution of the European Moldova Assembly.  

Thus, the parliament fully supports the requirements of Moldova’s citizens, included in the Resolution of the European Moldova Assembly, adopted on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) on 21 May 2023. The document declares, in continuation, irreversible the European way of integration and accession as Moldova’s national priority project and calls on the entire society, including all political forces, to prove maturity, unity and solidarity for the consolidation of the political and social dialogue, in the name of the national interest – Moldova’s accession to the European Union.       

The parliament invites the entire society, the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary political parties to unconditionally support, no matter their political opinions, the implementation of the requirements formulated in the Resolution of the European Moldova Assembly, as well as the commitments taken in the application on Moldova’s accession to the European Union from 3 March 2022. The lawmakers also invite opinion makers to inform the people about the duties and benefits of the Association Agreement with the European Union for Moldova’s citizens.

The draft decision entered into force on the date of its adoption. The European Moldova Assembly was held on PMAN on 21 May 2023. The participants in the event adopted a Resolution, thereby affirming Moldova’s aspiration to become European Union member.
