Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/ - A mural painting has been inaugurated in the Botanica district of the Chisinau city on the eve of the Children’s Day. Called in a suggestive way Hope, the painting is dedicated to childhood, dreams and aspirations for a European future. The art work belongs to painter Dmitrii Potapov, a muralist from Moldova, author of more mural works, both from Moldova and abroad.
According to the author, the work shows the image of a pupil who returns from school and on the way home she forms a friendship with everything around: with the nature, birds, she plays with sun rays and, at the same time, her aspirations lead to stars. The work was painted on the wall of a 14-storied residential building nearby the Zimbru stadium from the capital. This place was chosen, due to the fact that it is visible from distance and is placed in an area to the exit from the city. Also, the panting can be admired by those who watch a football match on the stadium in the neighbourhood. All works were carried out in a record time and lasted about two weeks.
The wall has an overall area of 460 square metres and the work occupies about 300 square metres.
