Moldovan foreign affairs minister says about 400 members of foreign delegations to be present at EPC Summit

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - About 400 members of foreign delegations will be present at the Summit of the European Political Community (EPC Summit), held at the Mimi Castle. Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today made statements to this effect.    

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Moldovan diplomacy head noted that more diplomats who accompany the delegations’ heads did not have access to the headquarters of the Summit.

„There are hundreds of people who will not have access to the Mimi Castle and will remain in the city. Thus, the delegations include the head of the delegation and other persons, such as; the liaison officer, intelligence officers, member of the communication and media team. Today we have an ambitious agenda and we are sure that the discussions will be productive,’’ Nicu Popescu said.

The ceremony of officials’ reception started at the Mimi Castle. Among the officials who have arrived, there is High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
