Moldovan parliament speaker says 1 June historical day for Moldova

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - We will edify a European and united Moldova, along with our strong partners, along with our citizens. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has made statements to this effect, in the context of the holding of the Summit of the European Political Community in Bulboaca.

“We have chosen this way, not because it is easy, but because it is the only chance for the Moldovans to have a good living, in peace, at home. We want to become a European state namely for the children’s future,’’ the speaker noted.

The head of the European Parliament’s Delegation to the EU Moldova parliamentary association commission, European MP Siegfried Muresan wrote on his page that ‘’Europe’s capital is in Moldova today.’’

„Moldova’s place is with us in the European Union,’’ Muresan stressed.

Moldova today hosts the most important political event in its history – the Summit of the European Political Community, which brings together about 50 heads of state, prime ministers and high-ranking European officials.
