Next EPC Summit to be held in Spain in October 2023

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - The next summit of the European Political Community will be held in the Spanish city of Granada in October 2023. Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón today made statements to this effect at the end of the meeting of the European Political Community, held in Bulboaca.

The Spanish official highly appreciated the organization of the meeting, noting that he was expecting all leaders present in Moldova today to a new meeting in his country. Also in autumn, Spain will take over the European Union’s presidency.

“We should promote initiatives which get European citizens closer to each other, promote the cooperation between people, for instance, the Erasmus Plus programme. Besides, the diminution of the roaming tariffs was decided. Another subject was the ensuring of EU’s security, the hybrid threats and the war from Ukraine. We could again express the support for getting peace and security in Ukraine. Certainly, these discussions will continue in Spain soon,’’ Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejó said.

Moldova today hosted the most important political event in its history – the EPC Summit, which brings together about 50 heads of state, prime ministers and high-ranking European officials.
