Deutsche Welle on EPC Summit: Moldova brings together European leaders in strategic Summit

Chisinau, June 2. /MOLDPRES/- European Political Community (EPC) heads met in Moldova to discuss the enlargement of the European Union, Russia's war against Ukraine and intensification of cooperation between European countries, according to Deutsche Welle, which published a commentary on the EPC Summit.
Deutsche Welle notes that the EPC leaders met in Moldova within a strategic Summit.
"Heads of state and government meet at Mimi Castle, a wine estate southeast of Moldova's capital, Chisinau, an exciting day for the country that recently received EU candidate status. The topics on the agenda are: Russia's war against Ukraine, the enlargement of the EU and the intensification of cooperation between all European countries", the article notes.
The cited source writes that since the founding Summit - in Prague last October, participating members have stated that the new format is useful and allows for the exchange of views without the pressure of making any official decisions on paper.
The next meeting of the EPC Summit will be held in Spain this October.
