Chisinau, 5 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today referred to the outcomes of the EPC Summit, stressing that the event had confirmed that Moldova is not alone, the presidential press service has reported.

„Europe came to our home on 1 June, in order to confirm that Moldova is important and has room among the strong and free countries of the world. The EPC Summit set Moldova in the focus of Europe and showed the entire world that we, the Moldovans, can do whatever we intend to,’’ the president said.

The head of state stressed that, even if we went through a period full of uncertainties, the event, which brought the entire Europe to Moldova, showed us more certainties as regards our country. ‘’We saw that Moldova is a partner respected by all European countries. Moldova is in safety with its friends and is not alone before the difficulties. Our country is ever more connected to the European area and benefits from concrete support, in order to cope with the energy crisis. Moldova goes the way of development. The European Union and the European partners reaffirmed their commitment to back us in continuation, so that we can improve the people’s living,’’ Maia Sandu also said.

The Moldovan president emphasized that unity was needed, in order to achieve the European goal set: ‘’We have a clear road ahead – we know where we go – me want to edify the European Moldova at home. To succeed, we need unity, wise choices and much work. We are on the good road and I am sure that we will succeed – I am confident in our strength to edify the European Union at home.’’
