Balkan medical week to be held in Chisinau

Chisinau, June 6. /MOLDPRES/- Balkan medical week will be held in Chisinau. The inauguration of the scientific event will take place on June 8, starting at 9:00 a.m., at USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu".

The theme is "Perspectives of the Balkan medicine in the post-COVID-19 era". The event is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Health in partnership with USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" and the Balkan Medical Union.

Attending the event will be Emil Ceban, rector of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu", President of the congress, Dorin Recean, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ala Nemerenco, Minister of Health, Tudor Ciuhodaru, first vice-chair of the Health Committee of the European Parliament, Graham Paul, Ambassador of the French Republic to Moldova, Camelia Diaconu, international secretary general of the Balkan Medical Union, president of the Romanian National Section of the Balkan Medical Union, Hendrik Van Poppel, the Chairman of the Department of Urology at the University Hospital Gasthuisberg, Leuven, Belgium.

The event aims to promote collaboration, exchange of experience and friendship between doctors in the Balkan countries, to inform specialists about the current scientific progress at the national and global level in the medical and pharmaceutical field, and to increase the quality of medical care provided to the population of region.

The event will be held on 7-9 June at USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" and Republican Clinical Hospital "Timofei Moșneaga".
