Moldovan tax body collected 25.23 billion lei in first five months of 2023

Chisinau, June 6. /MOLDPRES/- In the first five months of 2023, receipts to the National Public Budget administered by the State Fiscal Service amounted to 25.23 billion lei (about 1.2 billion euros), an increase of 3.6 billion lei or by 16.4% compared to the same period last year.

Thus, 11.2 billion lei were collected to the state budget in five months of 2023, up by 1.4 billion lei than the same period of 2022, or an increase of 14.1%.

About 2.7 billion lei were collected to local budgets, up by 420.0 million lei than the same period last year or 18.7%.

At the same time, 8.5 billion lei were collected to the state social insurance budget, about 1.3 billion lei more than the same period last year, or an increase of 17.9%.

Also, 2.9 billion lei were accumulated in the mandatory healthcare insurance funds, 469.3 million lei more than in the same period of 2022 or an increase of 19.5%.
