Energocom completed negotiation on gas purchases for this summer

Chisinau, June 9. /MOLDPRES/- Energocom company has completed the negotiations on gas purchases for this summer. Acting director of the enterprise Victor Bînzari made the statement today.

"We negotiated with two suppliers - the Greek company DEPA and another economic agent who wished to remain anonymous. According to the agreements, we cannot reveal more details about the prices and the auctioned volumes, but we can state that the contracted companies are serious, with a good reputation on the market, which offered us the costs close to our expectations", said Bînzari.

The head said that the prices are linked to the stock market, and the gas will be stored in Ukraine. "The contract with the DEPA company was made possible thanks to Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov, who negotiated with the company's representatives during his visit to Greece," said Bînzari.

The cited source also referred to the attacks on Energocom and the speculations launched in the public space regarding the company's activity. 

"We are aware that we have been, are and will be the target of several attacks, but Energocom had the ability and opportunity to face several crisis situations, when we risked being left without gas and electricity. We will continue to do our work honestly, so that consumers do not have to bear certain consequences", he said.

The last gas purchase contracted by Energocom took place this January. At the moment, over one hundred million cubic meters of natural gas are stored.
