Moldova Digital Summit started in Chisinau

Chisinau, June 15. /MOLDPRES/- Moldova Digital Summit, the most important national platform in the communication and information technologies started today in Chisinau.

"Digitalization is the field in which the Republic of Moldova has advanced the most, a fact that reconfirms the aspirations of Chisinau to become a real hub in central and eastern Europe, which offers access to important technological resources, expertise, know-how, as well as opportunities for collaboration and investments. At this summit we will announce new digital services designed for the Republic of Moldova to continue to be among the top countries with digital public services for the benefit of our citizens, but also to have more transparent, efficient connections and effective governance and openness for business and investment ", Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.

Janis Mažeiks, Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova said that the EU's priority is cooperation in the formation of a common and borderless digital space, encouraging sustainable economic growth, supporting an efficient digital state oriented towards citizens to bring changes positive in the whole society, in the conditions in which the Republic of Moldova tends to join the European Union.

The event will take place on June 15-17. Functional digital economies and the potential offered by artificial intelligence will be discussed at the event. Guests from Romania, Estonia, Latvia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, the USA, etc. will talk about digital solutions that aim to provide a faster response to citizens' needs. The end of the first day of the summit will be marked by the festive awards ceremony for the winners of the Moldova Innovation Awards 2023 contest.

Moldova Digital Summit represents the major event of the Information Technology and Communications industry in our country. The summit is an effective dialogue platform for actors involved in the digital industry, so that technology can provide solutions for the most complex national problems. The event is organized by the ICT Association under the auspices of the Prime Minister and financed by the US Agency for International Development, the Governments of Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland and the EU Delegation.
