Chisinau, June 21. /MOLDPRES/- I feel like I've come home. Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu made the statement today in Chisinau. The official also added that Moldova's future is in the European Union, and Bucharest will further support our country's European path.
"I have the feeling I have come home. I didn't come to an older or younger brother, but to a twin brother because all the challenges we went through, with all the overlapping crises that befell the Romanians on both banks of the Prut, must be addressed jointly. We are obliged to put special emphasis on the economic area together. Trade relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova increased by 50 percent last year. We have reached almost 3.6 billion dollars and this is the right path", Ciolacu said.
Ciolacu assured that at one of the upcoming meetings of the Government in Bucharest, money will be released for projects regarding drinking water and sewage, for the transformation of the villages of the Republic of Moldova into European towns.
Ciolacu is paying a visit to Chisinau today. This is his first foreign visit since being appointed to the position. The new Government of Romania, led by Marcel Ciolacu, was inaugurated on June 15.
