BNS urged the Moldovan residents who still have not participated in the census to come in touch with census-takers, in order to fix the date and time of interviews in the near future. ‘’We urge the population whose census has not been taken as yet to be receptive and open to participate in the census, in order to be found in the picture with the results of the 2024 population and housing census, part of the 2020 world round of censuses conduction internationally,’’ BNS added.

The population and housing census was launched on 8 April and will be held till 7 July, this year. On this time interval, about 4,000 census takers are to go from home to home, in order to collect data about the population and its characteristic features, such as the age, gender, ethnic affiliation, education level, occupation, as well as dwellings and living conditions, such as the endowment with the sewerage and water supply system, way of heating, etc.
