Chisinau, Nov. 11 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today commented on Andrei Spînu's decision to step down from the government. The head of state said she respects Andrei Spînu's decision and thanked him for the contribution to many projects carried out so far.
"I respect Andrei Spînu's decision and thank him for all his contribution, starting from the changes he initiated in the energy sector and the fact that the Republic of Moldova has escaped from energy blackmail. We are talking about important projects in particular the European Village program, and many programs and projects which have resulted in important segments of roads repaired, rehabilitated or built from scratch. These are important things that we appreciate," said Maia Sandu.
The head of state was asked by journalists whether other reshuffles in Dorin Recean-led government are to follow.
Andrei Spînu announced this morning that he is withdrawing from the government and the Action and Solidarity Party.
Last week, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that "in 10 days he will come up with proposals for changes in policies and government".
