
5.9 billion lei accumulated to national public budget since beginning of year
Chisinau, 11 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- In the first month of 2022, revenues of 5.9 billion lei were accumulated in the national public budget (BPN), increasing by 0.8 billion lei compared to the same period last year. The expenditures amounted to six billion lei, which compared to the same period of 2021 is higher by 0.8 billion lei, referring to the Ministry of Finance.
According to the institution, the execution of the national public budget ended with a deficit in the amount of 0.1 billion lei, and the balances of funds in the accounts of the component budgets of the national public budget amounted to 12.6 billion lei.
The state budget revenues, in the reference period, amounted to 3.6 billion lei, registering an increase of 0.4 billion lei compared to the same period last year.
"Revenues administered by the State Tax Service amounted to 1.8 billion lei, 0.2 billion lei more than the respective period of 2021, and revenues administered by the Customs Service amounted to 1.9 billion lei , being increased by 0.4 billion lei compared to the same period last year ", the ministry said.
State budget expenditures were executed in the amount of 4.5 billion lei, increasing by 0.6 billion lei compared to the same period last year. The execution of the state budget ended with a deficit of 0.9 billion lei, and the balances of funds in the state budget accounts amounted to 9.0 billion lei.
The Ministry of Finance claims that it has ensured the fulfillment of all payment commitments for January of this year, all payments being fully financed. "We reiterate that there are no risks of non-execution / cessation of expenditures approved in the budget, given that the budget has sufficient financial resources and permanently ensures prudent liquidity management," the ministry said in a statement.
