Energocom stock company purchases electricity from OPCOM, Romania, for 30 October

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu has said that the Energocom stock company on 29 October purchased electric energy from OPCOM (operator of electric energy market from Romania).   

According to the official, the Energocom stock company has made ‘’one more step towards the diversification of the sources of energy resources’ procurement.’’  

„For 30 October, Energocom bought cumulatively 875 MWh (at least 20 MWh and 125 MWh at the most, depending on the consumption hours) with an average cost of 132 euros/MWh,’’ Spinu said.

According to the deputy PM, Energocom will continue daily to buy electric energy from OPCOM, in order to ensure Moldova’s energy security. ‘’It is important that we save, in order to ensure the continuity of deliveries and an as low as possible price of the electricity,’’ Andrei Spinu added.
