Germany to provide Moldova with support worth 95 million euros in 2024

Chisinau, Oct. 17 /MOLDPRES/- During 2024, Germany will provide our country with 95 million euros. German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock made the statement at the opening of the fourth edition of Moldova Support Platform.
"Moldova managed to face the challenges with the support of its partners. This platform is a success story. Moldova is on a good path thanks to your resilience and determination. Please seize this opportune moment and continue the efforts to fight corruption. Moldova's accession to the EU is a geopolitical task, but the process towards achieving this goal is based on merit. For this reason, we offer support for the implementation of reforms", said Annalena Baerbock.
The official welcomed the holding in Chisinau of the fourth meeting of the Moldova Support Platform, saying that this proves that "Moldova has assumed responsibility for this Platform".
The German minister also added that the event could be transformed into a Partnership Platform for Moldova. "The question before us now is what we can do to establish some form of strategic cooperation over a long period. We discussed this morning and we proposed to transform the Support Platform into a partnership platform for Moldova, a permanent one. Ministerial conferences could become an annual event attended by high-level civil servants," the official said.
The fourth edition of Moldova Support Platform is being held today in Chisinau.
