More and more businesses from Transnistrian region officially registered in Moldova
The number of businesses from the Transnistrian region registered at the Public Services Agency (ASP) is on the rise. As of June 30, 2025, ASP has provisionally recorded 2,428 enterprises headquartered in the districts on the left bank of Dniester or in the municipality of Bender.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, this is by 22 enterprises more than at the end of last year and almost double compared to 2014, when only 1,354 businesses were registered.
"The increase shows a gradual integration of these agents into the national economic and fiscal framework. In the first half of 2025, they paid approximately 80.4 million lei in customs duties for the import of goods. In comparison, throughout 2024, the amount was 196.2 million lei,’’ the Reintegration Policies Bureau said.
Businesses of the region conduct their foreign trade activities based on certificates of origin issued in accordance with international standards.
According to data by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Customs Service, in the first half of this year, 847 EUR.1 certificates, 12 Form A certificates, 241 CT-1 certificates and 431 Form C certificates were issued.
Authorities describe this trend as a sign of economic reintegration into the legal space of Moldova, in line with commitments made to international partners and the objective of closer ties with the European Union.
