Moldovan agriculture minister pays working visit to Bucharest

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea today pays a working visit to Romania. Today morning, the Moldovan official had a meeting with Romanian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Stefan Radu-Oprea. The officials tackled subjects on the bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, agricultural and commercial sectors.   
One of the principal subjects discussed was the cooperation with the Romanian Commodity Exchange (BRM) and the possibility of its extension in Moldova. ‘’We are set to create an economic instrument which is to facilitate the interconnection of the farmers from the two countries, noting that the extension of the Romanian Commodity Exchange in Moldova might represent an important step to this end,’’ Vladimir Bolea said.     
For his part, Minister Stefan-Radu Oprea showed openness for this proposal, stressing that he would come up with details following discussions with BRM representatives.
At the meeting, the officials discussed the economic situation of the farmers from both countries and opportunities to consolidate the bilateral cooperation. They explored numerous possibilities of partnership, both at the governmental level and between the business environments from Moldova and Romania.
The discussions were also focused on priorities and plans in the agriculture sector from Moldova, among which the adoption of the law on the Agricultural Chamber, inspired from the Austrian model, as well as the creation of models of business, which are to support the development of the agriculture locally and regionally.
