Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/- The National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV) has a new head, who was introduced to the team by Sergiu Gherciu, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. This is Elizaveta Breahnă, who will hold the position of interim, until the organization of the competition for selecting director-general.
The official wished success to the interim director and stressed the need for further sectoral reforms. "For the wine community you have become a well-known personality, with an impeccable reputation in the field of winemaking. I wish you to have a productive collaboration with the ONVV team and to develop together an ascending trend of the institution's activity. Likewise, we rely on the involvement of each employee to develop the wine sector in a coordinated and sustainable manner ", Sergiu Gherciu said.
Elizaveta Breahnă said she will make an effort to create the necessary premises for the development of the sector. „The ONVV team is made up of responsible and conscientious specialists, with a pro-active attitude. I still hope to have the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry to record new performances both nationally and internationally. We aim to increase sales volume, to increase competitiveness, so that local wines become a symbol of quality, despite all the weather and crises ", the interim director said.
The National Office of Vine and Wine is a public institution, organized through a public-private partnership in the field of policy implementation in the wine industry. The institution was designed on the model of similar institutions in the wine sector in the world's major wine-producing countries. ONVV was established by Government Decision in September 2013, and the direct application of sectoral policies started in April 2014. ONVV operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and operates as a public-private partnership, being jointly managed and financed, through the Vine and Wine Fund, formed jointly by the contributions of the private sector and the state budget.
