Number of passengers served by Chisinau International Airport increased by 55 percent in March

The number of passengers served by Chisinau International Airport increased by 55 percent in March. The airport concluded the previous month with a total traffic of 339,736 embarked and disembarked passengers, the number being over 120,000 more compared to the same period in 2024.

Regarding aircraft movements, last month there were 2,827 landings and takeoffs, marking an increase of 37.5% compared to March 2024.

The destinations with the highest passenger flow increase are Istanbul, Sharm el Sheikh, Venice, Rome, Milan, London, Warsaw, Verona, Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Tel Aviv.

For the new destinations, Chisinau International Airport recorded 50,231 passengers, representing 14.79% of the total flow. Among them are Budapest, Prague, Riga.

According to statistics, in March, 228.5 tons of goods were transported through Chisinau International Airport.
