Segment of Chisinau-Orhei-Balti national road endowed with photovoltaic knobs
Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD) today informed that 107 incorporated photovoltaic knobs had been set on the R6 national road Chisinau-Orhei-Balti, km33-34 (Peresecina village area).
“The photovoltaic knobs have the task to warn and guide the traffic, significantly improving the safety and comfort of drivers, especially in conditions of low visibility at night. This initiative is part of our constant efforts to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure a high level of safety for all participants in the traffic,’’ ASD said.
The goal of the implementation of these innovating technical elements is to enhance and consolidate the road safety in this area, which is known as Black Point because of the large number of traffic accidents recorded.
The works were carried out on an experimental segment of about one kilometer and the value of the works carried out is of over 185,000 lei (about 10,000 euros), allocated from the Road Fund.
