Top European bank reiterates support for Moldova

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu today had a discussion with the head of the office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Moldova, Angela Sax.

The two officials reviewed the programme on infrastructure of the new Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) and established cooperation relations on more strategic projects.

Among the projects concerned, there are: strengthening Moldova’s energy security, solid waste’s management, developing water and sewerage supply services, construction and restoration of local and national roads, modernization of railways, etc.

The head of the EBRD office reiterated support in the absorption of funds allocated in projects meant to stimulate the country’s development and modernization at all levels.
