Action and Solidarity Party launched electoral campaign for 28 September parliamentary elections
The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) launched electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections on September 28 with the slogan “With PAS into Europe.” The event was held at the Square of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre Maria Bieșu and gathered hundreds of people from various localities of the Republic of Moldova.
PAS leaders urged people to vote for a Parliament that will bring the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
“Moldova is on the right path for peace and development. Moldova is Europe,” was the message delivered at the electoral event.
PAS leader Igor Grosu paid tribute to Moldovans who, in ’89-’90, fought for the restoration of national values and emphasized that the current generation’s duty is to bring the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
Igor Grosu: “We have a duty! Our duty is to truly be the generation of European integration. And we will do that. I see here many people from the diaspora. They are part of our body. Great respect, great bow to our diaspora, who know what it means to work honestly, to take care of a home, to take care of your country. It doesn’t matter how big or small the country is, what matters is the quality of its people. To be respected! Here at home, we decide how we live our lives. We have something to tell people. We are sincere and clear in our intentions.”
Vice-President of the Parliament Doina Gherman also spoke to PAS supporters, emphasizing Moldova’s openness to the world, international recognition, and the need to pursue the goal of European integration.
Doina Gherman: “It is our duty, of all of us, to do everything we can so that it stays that way! I am so proud of how Moldova is viewed and valued everywhere in the world! We are truly respected! We are heard! We are admired for our courage and resolution! Wherever we go in the world, I am told with pride that Moldovans are highly valued people! We cannot and do not want to become an anonymous dot on the map again. We, in the past, will not return!”
Speeches were also given by Dan Perciun, PAS deputy head Natalia Davidovici and other candidates on the PAS electoral list.
On September 28, parliamentary elections will be held in the Republic of Moldova. The electoral campaign started today with the launch of two electoral blocs and a political party.
