Moldova joins two new European programs
Starting from April 2025, the Republic of Moldova becomes part of two European Union programs – Justice (JUST) and Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV). This accession marks a new phase in the country's alignment with European standards in the justice and democratic values.
According to the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, JUST program aims to develop a European judicial area based on the rule of law, judicial independence and effective cooperation in civil and criminal matters.
Thus, Moldova will be able to benefit from support for improving access to justice, streamlining judicial procedures and training judges and judicial personnel.
The country will have access to funding for actions such as promoting knowledge of EU law and policies, exchanging best practices among member states, developing IT systems in justice and supporting active European networks in the field.
By joining the programs, the Chișinău authorities reaffirm the commitment to sustainable reforms and European integration.
