Moldova's delegation on visit to Brussels
Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s delegation is on visit to Brussels on these days, in order to analyze another two chapters of negotiations. It is about the Chapter 4 – Free Movement of Capital and Chapter 7 – Intellectual Property Right.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov, the discussions will be held with experts of the European Commission.
„On the next three days, we are in Brussels. Along with colleagues from more state’s institutions, we will again discuss with European Commission experts, in order to analyze another two chapters of negotiation. It is about the Chapter 4 – Free Movement of Capital – which implies the development of a modern economy and more opportunities for investments, as well as Chapter 7 – Intellectual Property Right – which will guarantee a better protection of works and innovations,’’ Cristina Gherasimov said.
The bilateral screening on the Chamber 2, Free movement of workers, and Chapter 3, Right to set up enterprises and freedom to provide services, took place in Brussels two weeks ago. The Moldovan government’s representatives unveiled the national normative and institutional framework, as well as the calendar of the transposition of the EU’s legislation in this sector.
On 25 June 2024, Moldova started the negotiations on accession to the European Union. They were officially launched at an inter-governmental conference in Luxembourg. Presently, the authorities coordinate the stage of bilateral screening.
