Library under Christmas Tree, fourth edition, in Moldova: about 8,000 books collected

Hundreds of employees from public institutions, private companies and non-governmental organizations, as well as many citizens and children donated about 8,000 books during December 2025, at the fourth edition of the Library under the Christmas Tree campaign, organized by the Government.

The books will be distributed to 85 school libraries, four kindergartens and two residential care centers for the elderly of Moldova. The boxes of books will be delivered during the weeks to come by representatives of the state enterprise “Poșta Moldovei” (Moldova’s Post).

The government launched the Library under the Christmas Tree campaign in 2022. Its goal is to donate books, in order to support education, reading and access to culture among children of Moldova. During four years, around 25,000 books have been collected in all.
