Moldovan deputy PM has meeting chargé d'affaires of United States
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today met Nick Pietrowicz, Chargé d'affaires of the United States of America in Moldova.
The American diplomat congratulated the deputy PM on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his mandate.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as the actions taken by national authorities to promote policies for the gradual reintegration of the eastern districts of Moldova into national unified spaces. In the context, the diplomat informed about the results of recent discussions held in Tiraspol.
At the same time, Nick Pietrowicz reiterated the firm commitment of the United States Government to observe the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova, within its internationally recognized borders, emphasizing the willingness to continue dialogue in areas of mutual interest.
For his part, Valeriu Chiveri expressed gratitude to the American partners for their continuous support of Moldova in efforts to bring the two banks of the Dniester closer together.
