Moldovan parliament speaker meets Romania's foreign affairs minister
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with Romania's new Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana-Silvia Toiu. The discussions focused on joint projects that will assist citizens on both sides of the Prut River, particularly the ones focused on energy interconnection.
The speaker expressed his gratitude for Romania's support in advancing Moldova's European path. "Romania is an extremely valuable partner, which is constantly helping and guiding us," noted Igor Grosu.
During the discussions, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu emphasized that the accession to the European Union was the only solution for Moldova. "This is the solution for development and also for resisting the threats of Russia. We are working diligently so that, in the next four years, Moldova should be safe, in a family of strong and developed countries," the parliament speaker added.
