Moldovan PM conveys congratulatory message on International Youth Day

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Today, Prime Minister Ion Chicu sent a congratulatory message on International Youth Day, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The message says:
"Dear young people,
Today we celebrate your day - International Youth Day. It is a good opportunity to mark the importance of young people as the most important driving force of society and to analyze more deeply the needs and expectations of young people to draw new perspectives and actions for the development of society.
In Moldova, young people represent over a quarter of the country's population, 27% of population are between 14 and 34 years old. You are a force able to build the future of each individual, and of the whole country, as you dreamed it. This requires action and active involvement in social, political and economic life - essential for sustainable development of our society.
Thus, the government has as a priority to ensure the necessary conditions for a quality education. The pandemic crisis has clearly exposed our vulnerabilities in the education system. We will focus our attention and resources on solving these problems. The age of digitalization forces us to modernize education in order to prepare qualified specialists for the new requirements of the labor market. For this, we propose the creation of a National Agency for the Development of Youth Programs and Activities, which will be directly responsible for the implementation of youth policies.
We will continue to invest in creating better living conditions for young people: modern infrastructure, business development opportunities, quality education and well-paid jobs. In this way, we will contribute to the training of new leaders in various fields and to the prosperity of our country.
Dear young people,
The Republic of Moldova needs your energy, enthusiasm and confidence, but most importantly, involvement through concrete actions. I want you to always show courage, perseverance, tenacity to gain new experiences and conquer new horizons. Pursuing the goal of personal development - do not forget the importance of community development in general.
