Moldovan PM on visit to social center from Horodiste, Rezina

Chisinau, July 13. /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to Rezina district, Prime Minister Dorin Recean also visited "Vent D'Est" children's social center in Horodiște village, created by French citizen Thierry Ernst in the building of the former school, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
For the first time, Thierry visited our country 30 years ago, and already for 12 years he settled down in Horodiște for good.
He opened an artisan factory "Fromage - made in Moldova" and produces cheese according to traditional French recipes. To improve the living conditions of disadvantaged families and develop social entrepreneurship in the locality, Thierry buys milk from the villagers at a higher than market price.
The French entrepreneur carries out several community and humanitarian aid projects in the locality. He also set out to renovate some abandoned houses in the village to turn them into tourist guesthouses.
"Thierry's story is an inspirational one: a Frenchman in love with Moldova who supports the local community, promotes traditional and artisanal products, highlights the beauty of the country and stimulates the entrepreneurial spirit of the inhabitants. He proves that Moldova offers numerous opportunities, including for foreigners who have discovered our country", said Recean.
Every week, Thierry Ernst processes about 500 liters of milk and produces several types of cheese, as well as jams, which he sells at fairs in Chisinau, at festivals and exhibitions.
