
Moldovan president got Sjur Lindebraekke Award for Democracy and Human Rights
Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu received this evening Sjur Lindebraekke Prize for Democracy and Human Rights for which she was nominated this year by the Conservative Party of Norway, party of Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state said that this award is an appreciation of the aspirations of the people of the Republic of Moldova to live well in their country, in democracy, welfare and respect for the law.
"As Lindebraekke Prize is offered to me on Family Day, I decided to donate the cash prize that accompanies it, 5,000 euros, to the non-governmental organization SOS Autism Moldova, which has been supporting families with children with autism in our country for many years. integrate more easily into community life. All children and all families in Moldova deserve to live well at home, " Maia Sandu said.
