Moldovan president meets counterpart from Cyprus
Chisinau, May 17 /MOLDPRES/- Today, in Iceland, President Maia Sandu greeted Nikos Christodoulides, President of Cyprus, and congratulated him once again on his recent investiture, the presidential press service has reported.
"I spoke with President Christodoulides about boosting the bilateral dialogue and thanked for the support offered to the Republic of Moldova in our European path," the head of state said.
Maia Sandu said "we count on the support of the Cypriot partners for the initiation of EU accession negotiations as soon as possible. We count on the support of our efforts in the fight against corruption and in the recovery of assets, which rightfully belong to our citizens", she said.
