
Moldovan president meets European top bank's vice president
Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Alain Pilloux discussed the current and future cooperation between Moldova and EBRD at a meeting today.
According to the presidential press service, among the priorities, there is the energy efficiency, including the thermal insulation of the public buildings, diversification of the energy sources and development of the renewable energy sector. Also, EBRD will help the small- and medium-sized enterprises from Moldova to access financing.
For its part, Moldova is further interested in the attraction of investments, through which jobs are created in villages and cities and in the development of the regional infrastructure.
The EBRD representative showed openness for contributing to developing the strategic infrastructure from Moldova, as well as to the launch of programmes on strengthening the capacities of the public institutions from Moldova.
