Moldovan president participated in greening campaign, together with group of young people, elderly

Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/- Today, President Maia Sandu went to Plaiul Fagului reservation in Bahmut village, Călărași district, and planted oak acorns, together with some young people and the elderly interested in environmental protection, to help the natural regeneration of the forest. Thus, the participants joined the National Greening Campaign, which started on 13 November, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state congratulated all those who participated in planting in various localities in the country, including officials from the Government and Parliament and colleagues from the Secretariat of the Presidency. "Our joint effort is an important contribution for the future of the Republic of Moldova!", Maia Sandu said.

The greening campaign, organized by the Ministry of Environment and the Moldsilva Agency will continue until November 27. Those interested from all over the country can take part in the campaign by checking on the page mediu.gov.md where and when greening activities take place in their locality.

"By acting together, we can leave a green, healthy and prosperous country for future generations," Maia Sandu said.
