Moldova's National Extraordinary Public Health Commission holds meeting

Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today led a meeting of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The leadership of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the National Food Safety Agency (ANSP) asked to extend the period of ceasing of the work of the commercial centres till 8 June 2020.   

The participants in the meeting discussed the resumption of the work of the markets from the Chisinau and Balti municipalities and demanded that the markets’ managers ensure the enforcement of a string of measures due to prompt the observance of the requirements of social distancing and personal hygiene.  

Specialists said that, if the evolution of the statistics of cases confirmed is worrying, the markets’ activity might be ceased.  

The Commission ruled the resumption of trainings for sportspeople legitimated by sports federations of badminton, kayak-canoe, football, weight-lifting, aquatic sports and tennis of Moldova. The training process will be made exclusively at sports centres, swimming pools and sports fields accredited by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, exclusively in open air, with the observance of the activity instructions.   

CNESP decided to fully resume the work of the Public Services Agency.
