New Ambassador of Moldova to Italy presents letters of accreditation

Chisinau, 7 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Ambassador to Italy Anatolie Urecheanu on 6 July presented his letters of accreditation to President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, at an official ceremony held at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.    

The handing of the letters was followed by a private audience, during which the officials exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-Italian dialogue, as well as the latest developments in the region.

Ambassador Urecheanu referred to the priorities of his mandate. He pointed out the importance of further deepening the good cooperation between the two states in diverse fields, among which the dimension of Moldova’s European integration, backing efforts of Transnistrian conflict settlement, boosting the commercial and economic exchanges. The protection of citizens’ rights and the close cooperation with the numerous Moldovan community from Italy represents a strong relation between the two countries, being also a permanent concern of the diplomatic mission’s work.

President Sergio Mattarella offered congratulations to the new ambassador of Moldova, wishing him success in his mission and assuring him of every support of the Italian authorities in exercising the mandate.
