
Partnership with Poland to bring real benefits to Moldovan citizens - deputy speaker says
Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Speaker Mihail Popșoi had a meeting with Deputy Marshal of the Polish Sejm, co-head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Moldova Ryszard Terlecki and with the Chairman of the Sejm Foreign Policy Committee, Marek Kuchciński.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the meeting took place in Karpacz, Poland, where Mihail Popșoi, as co-head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Poland participates in the Carpathian Europe Conference, 30th Economic Forum.
The officials discussed the relations between Poland and Moldova, pleading for boosting cooperation in various fields.
"Now we take advantage of the opportunities that have opened up for Moldova. The bilateral partnership with Poland will bring real benefits to our citizens through Polish investments that provide secure and well-paid jobs. Poland's experience in the field of agriculture and infrastructure development is valuable for us ", said Mihail Popșoi.
Popșoi delivered a speech at the Plenary Session of the 30th Economic Forum - “The world after the pandemic. Economy, Sovereignty, Solidarity ”.
"Global cooperation is the only way out of the pandemic crisis. The solutions at national level must be coordinated and combined with international efforts ", he said.
Popșoi also participated as a speaker in the panel discussion on "30 years of freedom of Central European countries and strengthening regional cooperation."
"The Republic of Moldova has established its strategic vector of European integration. Our citizens are determined to return to the great European family. This is not directed against anyone, but it is a legitimate choice of the people. We capitalize on all the opportunities for regional collaboration in the national interest of Moldova in order to increase the investment attractiveness and to open new jobs at home in our country ", pointed out Mihail Popșoi.
On 7-10 September, the deputy speaker participates in the Conference Europe of the Carpathians within the 30th Economic Forum. The event brought together members of the European Parliament, representatives of the governments of the Carpathian region, deputies, important economic agents from several countries.
