A new technology and innovation center – Moldova HiTech Park – could be built in Stăuceni, where companies in technology, research, and digital services will operate. The project lays the groundwork for attracting investments estimated at approximately 600 million euros. The development plan was presented today in the presence of Prime Minister Vasile Tofan.

The official appreciated the contribution of the teams that worked on developing the vision and emphasized that the park has the chance to become an important innovation center for the Republic of Moldova. The Prime Minister noted that the role of the state is to create the necessary conditions for launching such initiatives and to facilitate the attraction of investors.

“Thank you to the visionary people who came up with such an idea, one of great scope, especially since it can be turned into value for all Moldovans. I would also like to thank the mayor of Stăuceni, Alexandru Vornicu, for encouraging such a project. A platform of this magnitude can radically change the way our country develops and can create new opportunities for people and for the economy. For this vision to become reality, we must also correctly choose the model through which we put it into practice. The state must focus on its essential role: to create the necessary conditions, to ensure predictability and infrastructure, and to open the way for investments. And where the private sector has the capital, expertise, and capacity to execute better, we must know how to attract it and provide the necessary space for it to invest and build,” said Tofan.

According to the master plan, the territory of Moldova HiTech Park will host spaces for companies and research centers, laboratories, areas dedicated to developing digital solutions, and the future government data center. At the same time, at least 40% of the area will be reserved for green spaces.

The project also includes the modernization of access infrastructure. In this regard, the technical solution for the road junction on the R6 route is being developed; it will connect the area with the future Bucovina Boulevard and facilitate access to the park. This is expected to become the first three-level road intersection in the Republic of Moldova.

In parallel, the technical and financial preparation of the plan continues, including discussions with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The presented plan will be subject to public consultations organized by the Stăuceni City Hall and will serve as the basis for drafting the Zonal Urban Plan.
