Moldovan president meets public officials involved in European integration process
President Maia Sandu, on September 23 at the Presidency, welcomed the public officials who had contributed to concluding the evaluation process of aligning national legislation with European legislation, known as screening, on the occasion of the successful completion of this decisive step on Moldova’s path to European integration.
During the meeting, the head of state expressed gratitude for the intense work and dedication of the teams from all involved institutions, which, over the past 15 months, had proved professionalism, responsibility and perseverance.
"Congratulations to all the colleagues who contributed to the completion of the screening process, in record time, twice as fast as other candidate states. Let us continue with the same determination," declared President Maia Sandu.
The screening process took place between July 2024 and September 2025. The successful completion of this stage is the result of an unprecedented inter-institutional effort, which involved civil society, the private sector and the academic community, and opens the way for the commencement of chapter-by-chapter accession negotiations.
