Working visit of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration to Varnița

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri had a meeting with mayor of Varnița village Alexandr Nichitenco. They discussed the implementation of local development projects and finding solutions to infrastructure modernization. The importance of intensifying efforts for efficient and sustainable management of energy resources was also highlighted.

"We are here to clarify existing issues and intervene promptly so that the community benefits from the necessary support and safe living conditions," said Chiveri.

Human rights issues were discussed during a meeting with representative of the Ombudsman Office Veaceslav Ursu. Frequent violations in the Transnistrian region were highlighted, including: the right to liberty and security, the prohibition of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment, restriction on freedom of expression and access to information, limitation of freedom of movement and violation of the right to education.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of the human rights situation in the Transnistrian region and the importance of increased efforts to protect and promote the rights.

"We must ensure the full respect for human rights in the region. Democracy and protection of fundamental freedoms are essential values that we will defend unconditionally," he said.

Chiveri also had a dialogue with the personnel of Bender Police Inspectorate. The official thanked the police officers for their professionalism and efforts in maintaining public order and strengthening the population's confidence in the state's law enforcement institutions in Bender municipality.
