
Chisinau, Dec. 16 /MOLDPRES/- The Foreign Ministry welcomed the decision of the Israeli government to open an embassy in Chisinau.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made the statement.
According to Chisinau diplomacy, the decision marks an important moment in bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel, reflecting the excellent friendship and cooperation between our countries.
"The establishment of an Israeli embassy in Chisinau will contribute to the expansion of political dialog, the development of economic and trade relations, as well as to the support of the Moldovan and Israeli communities in both states," reads the statement issued by the MAE.
The embassy is expected to open in 2025, and the Republic of Moldova reaffirms its commitment to support the step.
